First I must apologize for the dark pictures. Its late at night while I
write this, and I dont have a good lighting set up at the moment.
Anyway, after being inspired by THIS POST, I decided to do a study for an article about foliage for
Classic-Castle.com. Why do I have a sadistic need to create trees with
bricks? Youll have to read the article when it gets posted to C-C.
Anyway, here are a few quick snaps I took to show off what I did. I dont
think theyre all that spectacular, and Im sure someone has done this very
thing before, so Im not going to claim theyre new. But Im proud of what I
was able to come up with, so thus I post.
So here you go, maxi-trees in their Autumn overcoats:
So there ya go,

Wow, it feels pretty cool to be considered an inspiration on these!
I like em. A lot! Something similar might have to show up on the GMLTC train
layout at our next show. *grin* (John rumages through the bricks looking for
yellow, brown, orange, dark red, etc....)
I do echo Larrys point about color variation, though. Many trees start
changing color from the top down, so maybe work in some more green around the
lower branches. And, put a few extra pieces on the ground, since some of the
leaves will have fallen, right?
