Re: U-particles...! (was Re: Technic Box 2)

I'm up for the TB3 thing, I've been patiently waiting for TB1 for over a month from the person before me. (And for the 1/2 U-joints... I'll take e'm since I have a habit over stressing them on power steering units) LMK Fred (24 years ago, 26-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Shame, Shame...."plastic" rubber tires in new technic

Those same wheels are found in the 3057 Create 'N Race. Cheesy is all I can say about them. feel just like the "imitation" brand but w/Lego logo on them. I hope these don't make a long stay in any of the lines. Fred (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What do you do with your empty boxes?

Shred them??? I would gladly pay the shipping for instructions for sets that I don't already own (which is still quite a few despite recent Lego binges). Send me an e-mail of which instructions you have many of and maybe we can make a deal. Fred (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage)

  Rotation Contacts

Has anyone ever tried to make a set of electrical contacts that allow rotation? What I want to do is have an electric motor on my crane using the large turntable from 8480 but I don't want a flopy wire in the way of rotation. Any ideas or thoughts (...)   Re: Technic Connector Question

I have quite a few of these connectors from before my dark ages. Considerable thought has been put towards "sanding" the teeth off so I can have more of the teethless variety for some of my engine modification projects. If anyone wants to trade* (...)   Re: Searching for Set number of certain Tires....

The tires you are describing appear to be very simular to the tires on the 5533 Red Fury. These are the same tires just w/different hubs that came w/the 8880. The hubs for the 8880 have the inside rim for the special collar for the all wheel drive. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

Undesirable as a complete model maybe... But when you can get them cheap just for more parts, that's another story. You are correct on the part being used as a CV joint. It's used in the 8880 Supercar behind the hubs, used as the 2nd U-joint is standard independant wheel suspension. This "gyroball" will ONLY work with the 8880 hubs when used as suspension. It can (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
