Re: Now here's a way to turn a proffit!

Customizers have been doing this kind of thing for a while in the action figure "collectible" market. They dummy up a backing board (or use the old one) and package or repackage bootleg or customized figures on them (I recall an infamous version of (...)   Re: Technic Ride at LL USA?

crap! Forget the CAR, I want the Roller Coaster SET! Lego...please please please make a technic Roller Coaster Set! oh man, can you imagine how FUN that'd be?   Re: LEGOs dirty trick: making money by not producing all masks as announced.

(...) Bah, believe me, *every* booster has a rare, and one in three is a holo. With a lot of time, money, and diligence I was able to complete three sets of Pokemon cards. For this reason I know how it is to open 5 boosters in a row to get (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: My School of Design and Architecture

That's a brasso'd canopy from the UCS Tie Fighter. It looks like CRAP in the stock configuration, but when you Brasso off all the hokey looking gray printing on it, it looks really fantastic! This set was on sale at TRU a while back for $80 or (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

(...) Wow! (...) That's right, Bill! Hey, how about this? Yesterday, I spent the afternoon filling in for the supervisor at the local teen center. This was my first time actually doing a day there (I usually work with the elementary kids). Anyway, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Point and Shoot Cameras

I strongly suggest digital over 35mm camera's. I get far better results with a point-and-shoot digital than I did with an expensive 35mm with nice lenses, an expensive scanner, and professional lights. Here is a photo I took with the expensive 35mm (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

well, i usually let this theme slide on by as it shows up so often and is always the same old debate, however... this time, i would like to say for the record can you really look @ some of the MOCs out there and complain about the pieces TLC is (...)   Re: What themes are people complete in?

(...) Well, I'm Arctic-complete if that counts :] I'm one set short of being Divers-complete. I'm a few sets short of Star Wars complete by choice and will stay that way. I think I'm Adventurers("Egypt")-complete too, I'll have to check. Wow! An (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: What themes are people complete in?

Hello! (...) That's really true. There are so many sub themes out there that really make completing an entire theme undesirable. I probably should have cleared things up. When I think of completing themes I think of the stuff that came out between (...) (24 years ago, 4-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)
