  RE: Lazy newbieish question

(...) Matt, I see this all the time when I teach embedded C programming to desktop guys - it's an objectification of things at the wrong level. Maybe you could consider this: (setup-light-sensor 'PORT2) which expands to 3 1 SENSOR_TYPE 128 1 (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: Follow-up: What *IS* a building instruction anyway?

(...) Well, I'd say almost the opposite. Firstly, the instructions Lego produce are (for most AFOLs) needlessly laborious in their detail. Megablocks and Shifty/Brick both produce far more compact instructions that do more at each step and they are (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jul-02, to lugnet.inst)

May I give it a go?..... I'm not exactly sure of the Toy you speak of, Hmmm. I also have seen a Toy that does this. I brought a gift from Zany Brainy for my Friends Son's Birthday. The thing was neat! It was a Clear Ball and had a little I think, (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(I already thought they would have something to do with keeping it closed but I though they maybe could be pushed in or something) From the remains of the plugs it is clear you have to destroy them. (...) Yes, same in Tescos in Cambridge (Newmarket road one, at any rate), plus they have all the new 2003 sets in. In addition, the local Woolies (Cambridge still) is closing next weekend, and they already have a few deals on lego - perhaps they'll (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Why did Model Team die?

(...) I think it might actually be Latin. Short for "id est", meaning "that is". I believe it's used when you are trying to explain what something means. i.e. you are saying the same thing you just said, but in other, more clear words. Here's an (...)   Question about posting

I moved to a new computer at work, and re-ran the posting setup. Now when I post it won't accept FTX, but when I post in plain text, it's ok.
