I have to laugh because this was my hobby-horse 10 years ago. There has been some progress, but things are still pretty bad. I have write a code for manipulate the LCD in the handy board. Because i can't use a battery backed RAM, i need to write in assembler. a regulated supply would be really nasty when you put the interface board in ZAP mode -- the supply would try to raise the level of the battery to 15v or whatever, and that would be bad. so unless you really know what you are doing, steer clear of (...)   bit_set and Poke
 
Could someone xplain the relationship that bit_set, bit_clear and poke / poke word have ? Specificallt in the bit_set code used for the motor control, 0x0e is placed before the bit values - why ? bit_set in english is "for the byte at this adress, make these bits high". The first argument is the address (i.e. 0x0e). I've recently been implementing a PD controller on the HB for use in a line following robot, and have been having some problems with instability, especially around the zero point. I have a Handy board . I want to remove the battery backup for the 32K RAM. This board have a 68HC11A1FN , i have the great idea of replace that with and put my code into the 12 K EPROM of the 68HC711E9. The question is , can be remapped that EPROM? (...) Hi all, Those of you running Internet Explorer on Windows 95 or NT have probably noticed that the table of links running down the left column is hard to read -- light blue (or purple) links on a medium blue background. It is clear to me that if i even attempted any work with construction and installation of a H Bridge for my handyboard it would be left a blackened, smoldering wreck. Hello everyone, A few sonar questions (other than where to buy them): 1: The speed of sound has been widely quoted to be 0.9 ft/ms (274m/s), but my Physics text lists it as 343 m/s (at 20C/70F), which is about 1.13 ft/ms, or 25% faster.   Strange IC error
 
I have attached the HB to a formerly radio controled car. I built an h brigde as described on wizard.org to control the motor.
