  Re: Large Buildings?

(...) It makes perfect sense, except my cat won't help hold the wall in place :-) I have started construction of the building. It has expanded in scope, just like it probably would in real life. My footprint is now 3 x 4 base plates (32 x 32 studs). (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Nearly 30 Years of Juniorization!

I want to add my two cents in here. 1st off...the set in question uses standard 4X2 bricks, a steering wheel, and the shovel assembly, some wheels. Yes, it does have the style of today's juniorization. A lot of the sets in the mid to late 70's (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Studless building techniques

(...) Hmm I generally use a unitless number when working with Lego here.. But I do remember having it drilled into me at school how bad that is, we had a math teacher who used to bounce up and down red in the face when people failed to mention the (...)   This is simply too cool

I've never really been impressed by working Lego guns...you know, those ones that fire bricks or rubber bands or whatever... I mean, you can fire a rubber band with your finger and thumb, so why bother making it out of Lego?* But this, this takes (...) (17 years ago, 16-May-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: AFOL? Please don't call me that.

See Frank I would call an AFOL!! I think Frank proves my point that there is a difference between being enthusiastic about LEGO the product (and building stuff), and then just being an enthusiast of building using LEGO. Don't get me wrong, I don't (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: My School of Design and Architecture

(...) Not always true. Pieces that have the "hollow" studs can't say LEGO on them for obvious reasons. Ditto plates, which have no studs. Usually the word LEGO is somewhere on the underside of the piece in those cases. It can be quite hard to find (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Old Bricks... Any interest??

I have a large quantity of OLD lego bricks. Mostly white and red, some blue. They are from the early '70's or so, and have the old Lego logo on the studs. Any interest? Any value? Eric (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
