  Re: The Gold Ship

(...) That's a great display! Mind you, with that much gold, the old 'Clipper would sink straight to the bottom, so pirates wouldn't be that much of a worry. Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  NALUG Royal Alberta Museum display

The year 2005 was the centennial for the province of Alberta. So, members of NALUG built several historic structures from the local Edmonton area, to display at the 2005 Great Edmonton Train Show. Sorry for the my lateness in getting this out, but the LEGO CD will not be shipped until next Friday (November 23). I had a few unexpected things happen, but all of them are positive.... 1) my long time Lego collector friend Kurt Richter of (...) (18 years ago, 17-Nov-06, to lugnet.announce)

Re: 10 years of LEGO on my mind

Hey Eric, It was great to go back through LomM to see some favorite old constructions and some newer ones that I had missed. Happy anniversary!   Re: Orangetron micro capital spaceship

(...) I agree with Richie - it needs a bit more - less studs, and/or more greebs. However, I really like the color scheme. It's not busy, and they all complement each other. The three-colour rule, like the Pirate's Code, is more like a guideline. (...) (17 years ago, 29-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) The GMLTC isn't big on tooting our own horn. Heck, our website probably hasn't been updated in a year or more. Conan and Chuck's collection is probably between 2.5 million and 3 million bricks. Obviously we don't have an exact count, but we've (...) (17 years ago, 28-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.general, FTX)

tan baseplates needed anyone up for a trade?

Hey all, I am in need of a large quantity of tan baseplates but rather than spend my entire next paycheck on bricklink I’m hoping I might be able to work out a trade for most of what I need. (...) Easiest place to look is BrickLink, which has a lot of the weight data: (URL) to them: Weight Brick 2x6x2 = 53.3 grams 2x4 Brick = 2.32 grams Of course, as I recall BrickLink weights were slightly on the high side-- not sure how that affects (...) (...) Hi Dan, IMO, "real" maps like maps.google.com, local.live.com or www.frappr.com always look somehow unsightly. They're good for setting places on a very detailed base, like showing residences of club members etc.pp. But for a rundown on LUGs (...) (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)
