  The Blank Shields web page

I've finally gotten around to cleaning up and updating and moving my webpage about the Blank Shields. This was mostly motivated by my wife finding one of the 2 disks with pictures of Mercenary Mountain 2, after I'd long since given it up as lost (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

Lego won't help - any idea?

Hi, I'm just spending my spare time with cleaning my technic sets and replacing the defect parts. On my 8448 the technic shock absobers (clear) were broken. Same at 8446. A small tube from 8445's steering was lost. So I ordered spare parts for three (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Clearance at Penfield, NY Target

Last night, after my teeth cleaning, I stopped in the Penfield, NY (corner of 250 and 441) Target, and found a nice Lego clearance in progress. Lots of Alpha Team Cruisers (6772) for $2.40 and Helicopters (6773) for $3.90, one Yoda sculpture for (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jul-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  restoring, 9v, track

At the risk of reopenning the track cleaning debate, what's the best way to restore track? I've been given some 9v track that spent some time in a greenhouse, and is a bit "dull". Rgds Mark Palmer (22 years ago, 8-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: restoring, 9v, track

(...) The problem with any abrasive cleaning is that it leaves tiny grooves, causing the track to get dirty again even sooner... at least that's what I learned from/being a h0 railroader. (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) In the Brickopedia I got away from those two terms, since I agree with you... they can be confusing at times. :) For example, I called this: (URL) an 'Outer Corner' as in the way it's sometimes used to create the outer corner or edge of a (...) (...) I *think* that "knobs" may be more common in the U.K. but I could be very wrong. It would be interesting to hear from someone who uses the term (if anyone) and know where they are.
