Re: Interesting point of view, Rene!

(...) I seem to recall General Motors making a promise that they were going to release the new Camaro by "x" date....well, turns out that they didn't make it. The result? An advertising campaign featuring the "human caring factor" of a manager who (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) I wasn't referring to the old fairings. I was referring to the new fairings. Being that they have pin holes on both ends, I would have thought they gave you more of an opportunity to "close up". They could be used in co-operation with old (...) (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: How do -you- clean your LEGO parts?

(...) Tooth brush is what I use to be very careful, and an old electric tooth brush. For large amounts I use the dish washer on delicate, cold water, bricks in a girly stuff bag, no drying. I take them out and put them under a fan after laying them (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.parts)

  Discovery channel-How It's Made-Plastic building blocks

Discovery channel-How It's Made: Today, Feb 21, had an interesting segment on the making of plastic bricks, Mega Blocks. I would assume that it is the same process that Lego uses (too bad they did not use the Lego Company, wonder if they were (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) I think it's because I always think things should be "closed up". If I was say building a truck and putting fairings on the side I'd build it from bricks and plates so it would be rectangular, you' can't do that with the old fairings. (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I Just Don't See It

(...) Peter I agree. I too have a lot of old bricks. Many of the white mint bricks I have from the 1970's have "tanned" as well, due to sunlight. Interestingly enough, I think that Cellulose Acetate white bricks keep their whiteness better than ABS (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lugnet - the talk-back radio of the world of Lego?

(...) At one time Lego was messing up. They were losing money and for a private company, that is bad even if only for a couple of years. They tried to get back into the swing of things with Galidor and Bionicle. Bionicle was a hit and probably saved (...) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-08, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Long Span Suspension Bridge?
