Okay Eric, I have some comments on the following link. (...) such a wall. The thing that struck me the most is your seige weapons.   Re: NELUG's 2nd Window display at The Construction Site in Waltham MA

The keep and wall sections look *fantastic* !!!!! Is there any chance we'll see an LDraw file of a wall section, so that we can get an idea of the piece count and design of them? *drool* I love it's scale, and the sparcity of windows is a nice (...)   Re: I ask again... (Was Castle Wall Piece weight)

(...) To a large extent, that depends on your existing collection. To me, 6039 isn't very attractive (who needs more wheels and horses?), although it's a nice little set design-wise. Someone with very little castle-appropriate Lego would probably (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Longshot requests

(...) Actually, those "Wall" sets were my very first Megabloks sets. Before them (which came in a huge long box), I had seen similar sets in carry bags, but didn't think they had enough bricks to be worth it. I think they had the same amount, but (...)   Re: multiple motors

(...) Actually, I think what he's suggesting is a pretty good idea. I usually test most of my sumo robots this way. Place the robot next to a wall.   Re: IRPD revisited

(...) It also depends on the construction of the robot itself. The Lego Group's designs (in general) are usually pretty good at staying together. Some of their models can literally be bounced off of a wall and do more damage to the wall than the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Mindstorms in 1999

(...) In a December Wall Street Journal article, John Dion at Lego estimated they would sell 80,000 units in 1998. So we're not really such a big percentage of the total, even though we've got a pretty big group here. Jonathan -- Did you check the (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
