Re: 2000 Artic theme = space

(...) Take a close look at the pic of 6575 on page 23 - I *think* it might actually be a 16x32, and 2 16x16's - it appears to be a break in the baseplate right in the middle of the blue wall (on the section with the blue dome). Either way, I agree - (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

took another look at the 2000 catalog...

I looked at the NEW Castles last night before bed - and was so happy to see that TLG is getting back on track! I just looked over the whole catalog, and I have some questions and thoughts.   New Castle? Huzzah!

So I've gone and looked (as I'm sur eall of you have) at the new catalog scans on brickshelf. What can I say? It looks like Castle is on the upswing after FK. (In deference to Mike, I'm not including Ninja as part of Castle. 8) ) Of course my final (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

After picking myself up off the floor I have several comments. Someone commented that a lot of the catalog was Star Wars sets. Note that this catalog came out of a Star Wars Snow Speeder set. I suspect that other sets will have different small (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  I feel like a junkie!

Well, I know where my money is going next year. Some thoughts: 7184 (MTT): 2 (maybe 4?) extreme corner slopes in dk grey! WAHOO! Also, several normal extreme slopes in dk grey, and all that brown. IF my eyes don't deceive me, those are 2x2x2 slopes (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

(...) Just from looking at the scans I'd say I will get at least one of everything except maybe the MF, the MF is EXPENSIVE.   Artic Windows/Walls

The Artic windows are cool-looking, but they also look like they're 6-wide, 2-deep, and 6-tall. Augh! That's terrible! Did I miss seeing some seams between bricks, or are they really huge wall pieces? Steve (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)
