  Brasso alternative

I was putting together a few minifigs tonight with parts from my mini-morgue. I needed a plain red torso, and all I had was one red one with some print on it - and no brasso! Then I remembered that toothpaste is mildly abrasive, so I put a little (...) (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) I watched this thread about Brasso, where can you get some, in terms of retailers around the US? (I.E. Walmart, etc.) I want to try it out, I have many "useless" parts that need liberating! Scott S. (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

I just did three old space police windshields. These are 4-studs wide, clear-green, about 5 studs high, say "space police" with bars and bow outwards and then back in. I had felt these parts would be useless forever. After polishing them and (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Any hardware store should carry it, in the "Polishes" section. My local Hardware City (Local Chain, I think) had some for about $3.50. It comes in a little metal bottle. Jeff (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Forgot to mention: So far I've cleaned 7 pieces, and it works pretty well. If you look closely, you can see the imprint of the printing, but more rubbing may be able to remove that. Use a soft cloth (an old t-shirt works), and do something (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
