  HB Memory map

This probably sounds like a pretty lame question but I am trying to make use of the unused areas in the lower 32K of the memory map of the HB but I can't seem to find the memory map in the documentation that I have available (the HB pdf manual, IC (...)   How to make shared memory....not

(...) You ask for it, you get it. BUT: It works, sort of. It will not survive any multitasking problems. Shared memory has to be handled by the OS, not by a user program. I split your problem to 3 programs. Program 1 allocates the memory and prints (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: mindstorms NXT and memory

If all you want is something that's just a small step ahead of an RCX then it's plenty. Of course you (...) (19 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

It depends on the application obviously...but thinking of consumer devices that cost around the same ballpark as the NXT and which are likely to be sold in similar quantities, we have PDA's, handheld games, MP3 players and digital cameras. * (...)   Re: legOS ... really a stack question

(...) Looking at my memory map, it appears that there is space for the stack in on-chip memory between fdc0 and ff7e (or thereabouts). That's just about 450 bytes. If you need more stack space than that, you'll need to move the stack to off-chip (...) (26 years ago, 2-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hi, I've just been working on the p-code interpreter. I've been working with the Version 2.861, not the HandyBoard version. But I did a "diff" and there doesn't seem to be much difference. At any rate, here's the map I made for Version 2.861: (...) (27 years ago, 26-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Extending the HB memory... I know, I know...

I couldn't sleep so I thought I would make some use of my insomnia. Several people have asked if the HB's memory can be extended, and usually the answer is no, not if you want to run IC. I have been taking a break from my navigation systems, and (...) (27 years ago, 24-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I posted this link to a book on sensors and effectors for robots. This book, which you can download for free, contains nearly 300 pages with *great* illustrations. It's a pretty weighty tome, though (comes in at over 13.5MB, but is in PDF (Adobe (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Troubles with dallas memory 2.

One of the more common problems with the somewhat larger packages that the Dallas memories come in is pin bending. I was wondering if it would be possible to hook a 1 farad capacitor to one of the input ports to keep memory alive while changing batteries. You wouldn't need 9 volts, since the input ports are connected to the system bus at 5v. It could be attached (...) (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
