| | Spybotic Mods
|
| I have Snaptrax S45 and a Gigamesh G60 Spybotics robots. I recently modded them both. The 1st mod was easy, I added powerful magnets on the bottom of each robots using double-sided tape so that when I am working on my techbench area if I drop a (...) | | Re: Service pack 5111 - Wires - no longer available
|
| (...) Well, if Spybotics is the true harbinger of doom, the future is to put the computer, the motors, the batteries and all of the sensors into one indivisible lump of plastic. At this point wires are unnecessary and the end user no longer cares (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Arrays and proximity
|
| I just got my Spybotics set cheaply, and I now want to start my machine intellligence experiment. However, I need arrays to process inputs and store experiences. How large can they be in the spybot? How can I use the flash? And how can I use the (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

| | Re: Service pack 5111 - Wires - no longer available
|
| (...) Well, I guess - but the Spybotics firmware wouldn't know how to drive the extra motor - unless it replaced one of the built-in motors which would then be 'dead weight'. I think you'd have to be pretty desperate to want to do that...especially (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| | UK gets a raw deal again
|
| The new Spybotics sets, such as 3806 Gigamesh G60, (URL) are GBP59.99 in the UK, or $59.99 in the USA. I make that about 50% more! Surely such a difference can't be justified. Could it be a mistake? Huw (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.lego.direct)

| | Re: Packaging!

| Yes, to my amazement, both the Manas and Spybotics were packaged in this manner (in the U.S. at least). I can't fathom what on Earth they were thinking when they came up with this packaging scheme. The controllers that came with the Manas were badly (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.lego)

| (...) I thought somewhere in the Spybotics software, it mentioned to put the controller in the lock position, press a button (1 thru 5) and point it at the spybot.
