  Some Mindstorms NXT questions

1.Are there any phones that you can use alongside the Bluetooth in the NXT? Being able to use the features of a phone (cellular radio, faster CPU, internet connectivity, storage space (including memory cards on many models), GPS in some models etc) (...)   Enable interrupts within IC?

Hi all, I'm trying to use IC to poke in an interrupt routine (the IC3 interrupt from pin PA0) assembled using PCBUG11 at $B600. I can set all the register bits correctly, but I can't execute the CLI (general interrupt enable) HC11 opcode from within (...) (29 years ago, 6-Feb-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: IC question

Dear Victor, I'll give you a few hints about what you are trying to do. 1. the "0x" in front of 0x0e is the same as "$" in regular C. It just designates that the number following is in hex format. 2. Fred runs his motor driver chips using addresses (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: More Speed? Re: Mindstorms 3.0 Wish List

(...) Superficially, that seems true... but it falls apart as soon as you start dealing with dead-reconing errors. In practice, recovery from slew errors is significantly more difficult with a location grid-based mapping instead of an obstacle-based (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Help on D-Link DSC-350 USB Digital Camera

Hi all, I was looking at different digital cameras and I came across this D-Link DSC-350 USB Digital Camera, which retails for between $110 & $130. I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased or used one of these. It has 8MB of memory so it can (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Brainstorms GUID

All: I'm not sure I really understand what point is trying to be made. I thought that a globably unique id was a good idea and put them into RoboBricks. My choice was to use a 128-bit random number. There are other solutions. All of the other (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LCD & serial connection

It is possible you have a bum 6811. I have seen 6811's with bad output address lines. this causes mirroring in the RAM as what should be multiple locations get mapped to the same byte in memory. The downloader thinks things are working because each (...) (27 years ago, 24-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Those are some really good points, but I am still concerned about the complexity and overhead of implementing IPC on the lego.
