(...) I wouldn't say I was a great programmer either. An array is simply a sequence of memory variables (say 1-10) that can be accessed via their numeric position. x++ If you write x++ in your code and x=1, once used, one will be added to it so it (...)   Re: 8094 mod: automatic plotter (memorizes in control center)

Just a guess, but maybe you've run into a memory limit in the device such that once x many commands are stored it ignores all commands after that. I don't own one of these, so if you're feeling up to it, you could take yours apart to see what kind (...) (17 years ago, 27-Jul-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Ideas for a RIS 2.0

More I/O ports would be handy. But a little ingenuity can expand on what is already provided. What cannot be expanded is the memory capacity of the RCX, or its processong flexibility. You need to get the CONFIG register to be set to 0x0c. If it is set to 0x0d, there will be memory conflicts. See the FAQ for an explanation. Try DL.EXE from the freeware DOS package. Firmware is software. It doesn't matter if you burn software into ROM, store it on EPROM, store it as PAL settings, core memory values, etc. Software is software, and firmware is software. (26 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
