  Re: NXT firmware?

(...) Nathan, Unfortunately, I don't think V1.01 was ever posted anywhere for public distribution. I know V1.03 includes some fixes for the I2C used by 3rd party sensors. Steve (18 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  BricxCC news

I recently updated the test release of BricxCC with additional support for the NXT. In conjunction with the latest beta of NBC you can now write programs that target the standard NXT firmware in three different text-based programming languages. NBC (...)   GCC toolchain available for NXT

Hi, I have modified the NXT firmware source to work with gcc, and also set up the make file. Pls. read on if you are interested... NXT can be programmed with a gcc toolchain (Lego uses IAR). The gcc toolchain setup description I have made is (...) (18 years ago, 15-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Palm and pbForth

Hi all, i'm interested in using a Sony Clie N770 (Palm OS 4.1) to program my RCX (RIS 1.5). I ran across pbForth in the book "The Unofficial Guide to Lego Mindstorms" by Jonathan B. Knudsen. I downloaded pbForth.srec (version 11/11/2001 22:08) from (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

I've been away on holidays and conferences most of the month, so I've missed most of this thread. Quick question, (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: NXT What Programming Languages + Open source?

(...) I am not wishing that they fade into obscurity. I just will be extremely surprised if they don't. Already a single not very bright individual with no monetary funds, working in his spare time has produced an open source IDE that is 10-times (...) (18 years ago, 2-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ada on NXT

(...) Given the CPU power and hardware of the NXT, I see no reason why, say, the GNU ADA compiler couldn't be ported directly to output ARM assembler to run directly on the NXT (and then be used via a replacement firmware along with GCC, G++ etc) (18 years ago, 8-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: NXT What Programming Languages + Open source?

This is in reply to the post by John Hansen on Wednesday, November 01. It's difficult to compare the end user value of an assembler language programming environment (NBC) vs a high level C programming language like Robot C. There are several (...) (18 years ago, 6-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)
