  LEGO DVD download special for old LEGO CD buyers...
 
There are a lot of folks out there that bought my LEGO CD many years ago. The new DVD download (which can now be an E-Book on your computer desktop)... has over 3 times the information than the old CD had. Plus the best part is that free upgrades (...) One of the larger of the 73 chapters in my LEGO DVD/download is the chapter on Magazine Ads. They go back to 1953... and as current as 1999. A Japanese acquaintance of mine... Yashihiro Kondo... has left me gasping... there's a whole other world of LEGO out there... this time sold in Japan from 1970-78! It is called OLO... and it was produced during the identical time that Minitalia was (...) (12 years ago, 4-Apr-13, to lugnet.general) !

(...) Good question Lar! Early on the "X" bottom Minitalia bricks were made out of the same composite plastic that the Minitalia windows and doors were made of. Later on Minitalia started using regular ABS LEGO bricks in their sets... which of (...) (12 years ago, 8-Apr-13, to lugnet.general)

(...) OK... I got you now Lar... the Minitalia brick in that image is composite plastic and it is USED. So that plastic is softer than ABS plastic and therefore shows more wear when in used condition. Later Minitalia was made of ABS... and retains a (...) (12 years ago, 9-Apr-13, to lugnet.general)

  Very First LEGO Sets...
 
For my LEGO DVD, I broke the early basic sets chapter into 2 halves, both of which are much bigger than on my early CD. The Automatic Binding Bricks of 1949-54 are just a few sets and 2 parts packs... but they are among the most complex and least (...) (12 years ago, 10-Apr-13, to lugnet.general)

One of the most interesting LEGO sets in recent times has been the 6661 Mobile TV Set of 1989. This set was sold everywhere, and would have an otherwise dull existence if it weren't for the fact that Germany has a very interesting variation of this (...)
