How LEGO Service Packs got started...

Service packs and individual parts sales are relatively new (only last 20 or so years) to the USA and Canada.   Price Guide for Finding old LEGO at Garage Sales and Fleamarkets

Many folks have seen old LEGO sets a Garage Sales or Flea Markets, or as they say in Britain, at Car Boot Sales (where they sell items from the back of the car or truck). But you may have hesitated because you had no clue as to the value of the item (...) (11 years ago, 12-Aug-13, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

The Very Rare and Strange 800 LEGO Universal Set

One of the chapters in my LEGO DVD/download lists the story of very unusual LEGO sets, that really don't fit in any other category or type. The old 800 LEGO set, only sold in France, Denmark and Norway, fits the bill as one of the most unusual sets, (...) (11 years ago, 10-Aug-13, to lugnet.general)

The impossibly complex LEGO Promotional Sets!

I just wrote some information about several 1980s promotional sets... such as the Dutch #1966 Repair Shop set (a Unox Soup promotional set there by Unilever Corp.). Or so I thought it was a Dutch exclusive... until I was shown some German catalog (...) (11 years ago, 7-Aug-13, to lugnet.general)

LEGO Historic Anecdotes... retelling the stories that got lost...

I've decided last week (when I had some internet issues at home and was cut off from the world)... to adding a slightly different approach to telling the story about LEGO sets and parts, and their evolution through the years. It seems that so much (...) (11 years ago, 9-Jul-13, to lugnet.general)

Re: PRIMA... the Swedish LEGO Connection...

... then in later 1955 the REAL LEGO came to Sweden. GEAS KONSTHARTS likely had their license revoked to produce LEGO like bricks (using real LEGO molds without the logo on the studs)... and another firm started producing actual LEGO. Unlike Italy's MINITALIA, and Japan's OLO, PRIMA was a LEGO product that appears to have NOT been produced by TLG.
