| | History of LEGO series........
|
| Several folks have offered me website space for my "History of LEGO (piece name) Part 1 ..etc." series. Thanks for the offers folks! I am still mulling over what I want to do with it. I am even considering the possibility of a book (I know ... how (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Wow, thanks Todd!! I really don't think that I have the time (or energy) to write a book. There are too many other things going on in my life right now. Maybe I'll just keep posting these for the time being. I do like the fact that you kind (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Insurance
|
| If ever there was a reason for having a price list for LEGO values, then insurance purposes would be it. Unfortunately, 95 percent of the time that price list would be used as a base price for LEGO auctions and sales. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: When should the 2000 Catalogue Appear?

| (...) Before sending this off to lugnet.off.topic, I wanted to add one thing about when the ANNO DOMINI method of year counting stared. From what I remember about a 6 part PBS (USA public television channel) series called "Legacy" with Michael Wood (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Lugnet Newsgroups Anniversary!
|
| (...) Todd & Suzanne, Congrats on your first anniversary! So much has taken place in the past year. It's amazing how much LUGNET has evolved in just 12 months. I have the feeling that for the 2nd anniversary, it'll be even more spectacular. (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

| (...) I have the German Alphabet (includes ä,ö,ü, but not ß), and the Samsonite USA Alphabet. There is also a Danish and Swedish set. I was wondering about the existence of a French Alphabet set (with é,â,ä,à,ç,ê,ë,è,ï,ô,ö,ò,û). Or even a Spanish (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

| | LEGO in Iceland unveiled....
|
| Ever since LEGO researcher Jim Hughes (Cincinnati) first discovered that the first LEGO that was sold in Iceland in the 1950s (starting in 1955) was under a different name... "SIBS Kubbars"... I've been looking for one of these unique boxes. Well 6 (...) (11 years ago, 7-May-14, to lugnet.general) !

I was inquiring on these, possibly to bid on them. But not for over $800!!! (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

| | 1960's LEGO Parts Packs
|
| There is a wonderful assortment of 24 Samsonite LEGO Parts Packs on EBAY, whose auction ended today. It went for a whopping $810 (rather pricey, I would say). I bring it to everyones attention to show you all what they look like. The pictures on the (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

|
| (...) Alan is correct. This piece came out in 1962 with LEGO Wheels. I have a European Wheel set #314 (from 1962) that has two of these. They are a unique piece in LEGO, in that they are not actually white or clear, but a sort of a milky (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)
