  Re: Revolutions?

(...) Cons for stop-motion (the inverse of which all apply to computer animation): Susceptible to camera bumps Susceptible to lighting flickers if you're not extremely careful Without lots of software it can sometimes be a pain to delete that one (...)   Re: Last chance for real grey -- let's send a message

(...) Buy other colors and you'll send the message you want to send. If the old-color packs sell out really fast, the unrelated colors continue to sell at a decent pace, and the new-color packs sit and rot, the message is nearly impossible to (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO's Worst Mistake Ever!

(...) It's not as difficult as it sounds. Well, assuming your recycled material maintains a consistent color (clearly, that's not happening). Plastic colors are minutely fine-tuned, so as long as you know the specific color of the batch (a lot less (...) (21 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

There is an interesting property of closed surfaces that can allow you to determine the normals for all polygons (or (...) (21 years ago, 11-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: codifying marriage on biblical principles

(...) But see, there's the problem. On what basis can one assess someone's actions to be following or not following Jesus? Unfortunately, the Gospels don't qualify as adequately impartial accounts of his life, death, life, or teachings, so we'd need (...) (21 years ago, 12-Mar-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: surface normals and vertex normals for OpenGL

I won't argue with your clarification, but I will point out that it would be more difficult for a renderer to perform this feat, particularly one that is designed as a real-time renderer, and therefore presumably has rather serious limitations on (...)
