Re: PaB Inventory On-line for the iPhone

(...) Agreed, for LEGO Imagination Stores, yes this will be difficult; they're very high traffic. But for some of the smaller stores, no. But it comes down to some information vs. no information at all. In my case, I'd rather have some information (...) (16 years ago, 11-Apr-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Voyager... GPS guided autonomous outdoor LEGO robot

(...) Yes, the GPS communicated directly to the NXT via bluetooth. I can't remember who it was that figured out how to do this, after most of us thought it was impossible, but it does work. It's difficult to quantify the accuracy. I have it set that (...) (16 years ago, 29-Apr-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Appraiser for collection

(...) Some very good observations and points. A set only has a value if someone wants to buy it. To sell a substantial collection at one time would probably be impossible. If the collection is large, few people would have the money at one time to (...) (16 years ago, 14-May-08, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Appraiser for collection

Here is my inventory situation: I have bought most of my sets on sale or clearance. I had a Bricklink store as well as selling on eBay. The sets I bought on clearance, then resold for profit, was intended to "finance" the pieces for MOC and the sets (...) (16 years ago, 22-May-08, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. When there's something I don't understand (...) (16 years ago, 19-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Minifig scale?

Hi all, Of late I've noticed a resurgence in the use of 'minifig scale' as a term. Being a mathematically inclined pedant I tend to take issue with this term as minifigs are so deformed it strikes me as impossible to define a single 'scale' to them. (...)   Re: Minifig scale?

(...) --snip-- (...) I think you're demonstrating my point here by confusing size and scale here. A 'scale' defines the ratio of each dimension of the model to the real thing. Thus HO scale is 1:87, half scale is 1:2, true nano scale is 1:10^9 and (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)
