I too have had my problems with this system. Perhaps they come from my inexperience with LEGOS or UNIX, which doubtless is apparent in my description below: Downloading and installing went well. One the shelves locally are Mindstorms sets that have big stickers that say something like "free upgrade to 1.5 available" These seems to indicate they are version 1.0 I bought my first set from Shop and Home and it was the latest 1.5 version, no (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hmm, I'm not so sure. (...) Hmm, well, but you were using Microshaft Look-Out to post the messages. The funny thing is, all of the non-Latin characters were converted (somewhere) to ?'s. Most likely, methinks, this happened not at the (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.jp, lugnet.admin.general)

Last night I picked up one at $9, but decided to wait on more since my local Wal-Mart has at least 30 of these "hiding" in a very out of the way place.
