  Re: S@H Catalog Arrives

(...) Got mine this morning too. I am little peeved though - I was hoping that since we now have to order from US S@H, we would get the (much larger) US S@H catalog. But no, we still get the abridged edition. Why? Makes no sense to me. Kevin (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Wild West on websites

Has anyone seen any good lego Western themed websites? I never see Wild West themed websites anywhere. It is mostly castle, space, or star wars. I haven't really seen any adventurer or ninja sites either. If you have seen any that look interesting (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.western)

  Dark Grey Castle

Well, I'm about to undertake the task of making the world's first Dark Grey & Black MOC Castle. It won't be too big; probably about 96x96, but it's hard to build anything large out of dark grey bricks. It'll be the fortress of my "Ironhelm" army. (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: New train page

(...) GMLTC dunit... :-) (...) These creations have some rough edges, but a lot of potential. I have to try to do a Shinkasen or something evocative of it this weekend so this was fortuitous timing! I plan to crib extensively ++Lar (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGO grandfather clock

(...) The easiest way for me to answer this would that I would certainly consider making another clock (or any other sculpture) for a commission. You are right, the cost would be high... not only to cover the bricks, but just for the time involved (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Greetings!

I think at this point, I can tentatively commit to showing up Friday night by 7pm and staying overnight and then leaving Saturday late. What time you guys showing up to setup the layout, maybe I could get out of work early. (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.org.us.gmlug)

Re: review: Set 7134: Rebel A-Wing wih mechanic

(...) Yep! That would be the proud hero's name...I believe you can easily slap the minifig head from one of those new "non-lobotomized, non smiley" Lego sets (The adventurers, The Ninjas, the new Castle series?) to give the A-Wing pilot one of them (...)   Re: Non-textured slopes.

(...) Chances are, Tyco somehow acquired old Lego molds. (...) It has never *been* textured. I looked at ones from 1980, 1990, and 1999. Except for the single digit inside, they are all the exact same. The digits inside are 1, 6, and 6, but the (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Possible FYI Mindstorms 1.0 KBKids.com

I was browsing tonight, trying to figure out what I might need to get next for parts, and I happened to notice that they have 2 listings for the RIS, one is 1.5 and the other blank, different descriptions when you click on the more info too...   Re: Farlie A

(...) My understanding is that you can't copyright an idea either: copyright protects an *expression*, ie a poem, a computer program, a piece of music.   Windows to ML-CAD?

Hi, Quick question. Is ML-Cad the most windows-like in terms of porgrams. The MS- DOS LDRAW format is a little bit to complicated for me. Aaron (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Non-textured slopes.

(...) Riiiiight; but my point here was that a Tyco example I have dating from the mid-eighties precisely matches a LEGO example from the late-nineties, down to ejection scars and imprinted part numbers. I'm not saying that these pieces are not made (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  About LUGFest

Hi, :( still no notices on LUGFEST, but KIDLUG is going great. Anyways, if we can't generate enough support for it, we might modify it. I guess LUG owners would just come to a meeting hall, or even my house if we have a small number. I think that an (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

OK, someone posts a significant improvement/expansion of ldLite, ported to gcc, running on Windows and Linux, and WHAT do you people talk about? DOS names? ZIP files? ldGLite is at an early stage, much like ldLite was at v0.3. Can those who know (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  S@H Catalog Arrives

Received my all-English January 2000 edition of the S@H Catalog (Canadian Edition). Aside from the obvious difference of US prices, there are few changes from what our normal selection would have been like. Funny thing is, on page 2 it says to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Idea for Bulk Ordering ANY current Lego piece

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

(...) Hi Todd, I'm Aaron, the "friend" Alex is talking about. KIDLUG is either the KID Lego User's group, or Kid's Lego User's Group. It doesn't matter and it is undecided. We did get that button from a 3rd party, and will replace it, but please (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.org)
