I did an experiment with my 9 year old Granddaughter on several kinds of tape. NET: "friction tape" is best. Bryan, many of us have noticed small to larger differences in the motor characteristics. Unfortunately difficult to compensate for... If you are lucky enough to have 3 or 4 motors you can try to 'match' them. Anyone else have suggestions?? (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I got a pint of Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) at Home Depot about 2 years ago... I will try mixing some with extra plastic to increase the viscosity. Wow! This Mr. Fujita is a genius. His creations were all made prior to the release of the Star Wars line by TLG. By all means, get the upgrade. Even if you never touch the software, the extra pieces (including the coveted, oft-referenced clutch gear--the white thing) are very much worth having. You'll also have two versions of the test mat, and two (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

We got the Scout too now (with all its additional features lurking under its plastic). Now we just have to think up a crazy contraption using the RCX, Scout and Micro-Scout interactively.
