Hehe, for once, Europe gets stuff before the US :-)
I got a 1.5 RIS for christmas, and I live in Sweden, we haven´t even got the
2000 catalogue out yet!

Below are some products offered by http://www.legoworldshop.com
What I do not understand is that the upgrade kit from 1.0 to 1.5
can already be ordered, but the complete 1.5 will be available in
January 2000.  Can somebody explain?

Maybe they want to get rid of the 1.0 sets, and to encourage
that, they are
not selling the 1.5 sets just yet.  Instead, they will sell you a 1.0 set
with a free upgrade.

Considering what I recently have learned about the demand for Mindstorms
product in the US last Christmas - and Lego's failure to supply enough sets
for the stores - my best guess is that since they are doing a MAJOR
promotion all across Europe for the RIS sets - I'd say they need ALL the
sets they can possibly manufacture for this years Christmas - that's why • the
US seems to have been let 'out' this time.

Producing a minor upgrade set with a few new Lego's, a CD-ROM and a
Constructopedia shouldn't be a problem though - compared to a full set of
717 pieces plus the extras ;-)

Instead it looks like you guys got the expansion sets and RDS which I can't
find anywhere here in Denmark....first expansion set here will be
Exploration Mars (246 pcs) which is announced for Spring 2000. I have a
special 8 pages Lego Mindstorms catalog on my desk that confirms this - not
a word in this about the Scout set - I'd say Europe get's the 'new' Scout
later in the year 2000.

regards
