Re: Trying to do part 2951 bucket for Rock Raider

I have made a very, very simple mockup for this part. It is available here: (URL) am pretty certain that I have gotten the measurements of the vertices of the parts fairly exact, but there are still lots of details that need to be filled in. If you (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Brad Justus' Comments - Why Complain?

(...) It probably was sarcasm, but I still see it as highly inappropriate. Like using your cellular during church service at the Notre Dame de Paris or at the St Peter of Rome. (...) I agree. But why bother flaming the clueless ones? They don't (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Mindstorms Wishlist

(...) I wouldn't be surprised. When _I_ did power supply experiments as above, I used a 4.5V light brick (and hoo-boy, does 220V AC through a 4.5V light make a nice bright flash). An RCX is just so much a different cookie in terms of replacement (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: differences between 9719 and 9747?

(...) Here are the differences in parts. They are alse some differences in manual and software, but I don't know them. New parts in set 9747 (Mindstorms 1.5), not in set 9719 (Mindstorms 1.0) Count Part # Part Color 4 3794 1x 2 plate, 1 stud Gray (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: awfully quiet here.

(...) Why do you have to choose between conventional and Technic? Mix'n'match! It sounds like a good concept, though. I'll be interested in how it comes out! Mine will unfortunately not begin construction until at least 10 January. (...) That's a (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: awfully quiet here.

The main "frame" of my ship will resemble a crib -- a kind of boxy framework, using technic beams. The base of this framework will be the floor the lowest deck ("Blue Level"), with cargo holds, launch bay, and such. The three decks above will (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)
