  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

(...) For what? Rifles, six shooters? Why would you want LEGO ammunition? 1x1 cyl. bricks are great for multiple ammo for various applications. (...)   Re: Why not wait

(...) The music continuity is broken in several places, most notably in several Cloud City scenes. 'Tis a shame, because TESB had the best music of the three, IMO (though it might be surpassed by Duel of the Fates...) Also, the men's choir piece (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Minitalia Lego sets (from Italy)

(...) A friend of mine in Germany sent me 3 red 2x4 bricks and a window from the Minitalia line. The bricks look sort of like regular LEGO (with different studs), but the window really stunned me. It was the 1x6x3 size (the largest of the classic (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Longest train?

(...) Larry, I am up to 71 cars. I will enderver to steal a video camera off one of my friends, and then use there 'putr to digitize the image. The only way to get it to start with 2 motors (yep, 2 is enough, just to run it) is to take slack (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  2k Sets

Lots of 2k sets at Target on Hamilton in San Jose. I went this morning and picked up the Gungan Patrol (7115) and the A-Wing Fighter (7134). Just for some fun. And now I don't want to do any work. They also had the Boba Fett Slave (7144), Desert (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: FIber-optic rotation sensor

Dennis, You are absolute correct. No brain cell problems on this issue. I can't remember the part about Mario, but it makes sense.. Jin Sato has used these on the front legs of his Mibo dog to determine motion. He knows the direction that he is (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

  Re: Building Bridges

(...) That is a nice bridge Jeff! Couple of questions for you 1. How long does it take to cycle from top to bottom? 2. How many Rack Gears are in it (LOTS!) Again, very nicely done bridge...it puts mine to shame...although, I am not going to copy (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

(...) We (rest of the world) are probably pretty ignorant of what went on in World War II as it relates to Denmark. I wonder what TLC chairman KKK's father (GKC) and grandfather Ole witnessed in the war. Perhaps what they saw when Nazi Germany (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: FIber-optic rotation sensor

(...) [snip] I believe it was Mario that described a way to use the FO device as a rotation detection unit all by itself. Apparently as a side-effect of the rotation the FO device can toggle the pulse counter as well. It can't detect direction like (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Star Wars Episode 1 Video Tape

(...) Does anyone know when they are going to get around to releasing any of the Classic Movies on DVD? This is killing me. I have the classic's on VHS and Laser Disk and I like the VHS because you don't have to get up and flip a disk but I like the (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Why not wait

(...) What do you mean re the soundtrack? The ending celebration music in TESB? I didn't mind that change so much, although it should have been in a key that matched the ending-credit anthem. Completely agreed re the Greedo / Han gunfight. It just (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Powering trains w/ RCX

I was talking more in a sense of replacement/repair of damaged units. I would not be surprised if the retail price of each starts to change with shifts in demand. And due to the "apparently common" replacement of the brick with AC, that would have (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx)
