LEGO Creator is not perfect. It is a whole lot slower 'loading' than LDRAW. (Extremely slower. I have a P233 and the techie had a P2 300 and he was complaining about how slow it was.) However, once it loads it's speed seems unaffected by the number (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

 | | Question of rareness... 4559, 4548
|
|
I saw a 4559 Cargo Railway and a 4548 Speed Regulator in a local "Bedford Falls Toys & Books" today. I am not really into Lego Trains yet - but I was wondering if these are particularly rare items, and worth the money... Thanks in advance... -- (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

This is my first post to lugnet. I've been lurking since it came online. I have to say I like lugnet so far. It's relatively organized and has better people/control than RTL does :) (Not that I hate RTL, it's just a tad bit disorganized) I've been (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) I don't see much in Insectoids. The main reason is that they have so many specialized pieces. If they built the same shapes with the pieces they had five years ago, I would be all for them. Lego can't really go anywhere with Ninja, what other (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

I've got a couple of Lego castle sets and minifig sets up for auction on eBay, all with descriptions, pics, and all built for piece confirmation. 6039 Twin Arm Launcher and 6012 Siege Cart All pieces there except for a bow and arrow for 6012. (...) I do like the classic minifigs, but I do like a lot of the new ones too. I'd love to see a re-issue of classic sets, but on the whole I'm pleased with the current line. Sure, town is looking terrible, and the last few years of space and castle (...) (27 years ago, 24-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) I couldn't disagree more. Lego should go back to simplified minifigs, they look much better. I think it is a mistake for them to go away from the classics they built their toy empire on. Also, I have noticed that since I have been off of RTL (...) (27 years ago, 24-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Did my usual rounds (Target, KMart, TRU) in my end of town(North Austin) and nothing new yet. Target was boasting a few markdowns and KMart was having a 20% off their usual selection of opened/maimed/crushed Lego product. Oh well... All it means is (...)
