Re: [FA] - eBay - Lego CUSTOM: - Unique 4 axle custom Hopper

(...) Ahh, but all the parts *are* official TLC parts (even if you do not say that). A big issue with bulk sales is that someone does not take advantage of the *privilege* (of buying bulk) to compete with TLC in the same venue. I would hate to see a (...)   Re: Custom lego Kits group (was 4 axle custom Hopper)

(...) As long as you are not competing with TLC in the same venue, I agree. Is someone makes a better X-wing which impacts TLCs sales, then TLC winds up with a bunch of unsold boxes in a warehouse. Other than that, I don't see any problem. The other (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Custom lego Kits group (was 4 axle custom Hopper)

(...) Todd, My take is that TLC should be concerned not about *will* someone take some of these bulk-purchased parts and make custom created kits for sale, but *what* venue would they be sold in. If someone (like Larry) make 50-100 hoppers and sells (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: vb variable size

Hi (...) Yep you're right Dave and I feel pretty stupid. The loop command is only good up to 255, so I'm now using a while...end while. I need to learn to read the RCX SDK parameter table a bit better. So much to learn, so much fun. Cheers ;-) Mike (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: WTT: #8880 fo #6987

Hi David, I have some mint in sealed box 6987's but I also have two MISB 8880's. I'll sell it to you for $175.00 plus postage. Mark H (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Ebay - On the rise, or ... ?

(...) The mad discounts are most interesting. The out-right screwups can trigger herd instincts like nothing I have ever seen. Witness the £4 screwup at The Entertainer a few weeks back. e-commerce is a whole new book waiting to be written. People (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Custom lego Kits group

(...) Yeah that's one thing you're gonna hafta REALLY think about. If such a group gets formed, and is successful, I don't think Lego will ignore you guys anymore. Although you're not selling original Lego kits, you ARE selling something very (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Anyone seen 2K Lego?

(...) Yesterday I stopped by the Zainy Brainy and Toysrus in San Mateo. No y2k. Since new sets only appeared in the east yesterday, I wouldn't expect them to appear in the bay area for a few days. - chris (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Has the world gone mad?!?

(...) I actually foresaw the problem enough to have two separate entry categories - "set" and "original". Of course the judge was still clueless as to which entries were really sets or not, and apparently didn't even care enough to really (...)   Re: Custom lego Kits group (was 4 axle custom Hopper)

(...) Agreed. It *might* be trackable for large-volume sellers - i.e. audit them and track how they spent there money - but that gets horribly expensive and has all kinds of legal strings and red tape to go through before you even can try. I don't (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: want list (was: Re: SPACE AUCTION -- Many Rarities!!!)

(...) Did you ever get a backing card for the 6801/6822/6823 3-pack, or did you decide that it isn't a set since it doesn't have its own number, or is it just not "cool enough" to actively search for? Just curious, Steve (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
