  clear 2x2 slopes available...maybe

Hi all, I have the opportunity to obtain a lot of new LEGO including a bunch of clear 2x2 slopes. I'm trying to figure if these make the lot worth buying. How many would you want and what do you suppose you'd be willing to pay? I would have on the (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Dates picked for Cleveland Lego Get Together

I've been incredibly busy over here with actual work, so it is not looking like this weekend is going to be doable. Especially since notice should have gone out last week. I'm thinking that next weekend would be good though. If anyone has any (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: Polaroid sensors

Hi Dave, The Polaroid 6500 Sonar is a good ranging device, however InfraRed ranging *may* be better in many applications. You can buy the Polaroid gadgets from Acroname (as well as IR ranging devices) at a better price than from the RobotStore. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: from whence do these come? Multi-holed grey brick quest

(...) no. these are the same size as technic holes. (i'm comparing right now) the difference is that the modern technic holes have a small bevelled "lip". thus, a conector pin won't work in these, but the axles fit through fine. later ~ craig~ (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Chains where? (was: Re: How long is a chain?)

Ooh! You can get both in W779852! I'm psyched. I _love_ the conveyor treads, and thought Lego had discontinued them. Now to start saving my pennies ... --Doug -----Original Message----- From: Wes Matchett <wes@augustschell.com> To: (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MyFamily coupon

I ordered ~$100 worth of stuff for our next auction (I ordered Monday, chose UPS Ground and got it today!), and I was going to use that same coupon again to order more today for me. (...) Yes, these are Dacta item #N779937 Small Chain Links - $6.25 for 108 links. But I believe you are looking for item #N77938 Conveyor Belt Links - $6.25 for 36 links. -Wes (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Lego: Toy of the Century! (according to Fortune)

(...) A brief quote: "During the past five decades, more than 203 billion LEGO bricks have been sold world-wide (more than 33 for every person on the planet)." Hmmm... I think a lot of us here on LUGNET are skewing that 'per person' number UP just a (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Dimensions of a SD40 and GP35

Thanks Larry, Looks like I'll have to head to the library. Before I try to build the power unit. Your "ersatz Alco" is that Big Red, the engine featured on your web page? Chris <snip everything Larry and I typed previously> (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Problem worked out

Well, I haven't figured out what is wrong but I've worked around my serial problems. For the record it was mostly a problem of cables. I was using a DB25 M to F rs232 cable and that didn't seem to connect correctly. I was using a male to male (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Chains where? (was: Re: How long is a chain?)

  Lego trains and the RCX

Has anyone tried running their 9v train set off of the rcx? I did it over thanksgiving with limited success.
