Re: Local space ACK! Error in distance table!

(...) discovered that they DIDN'T MATCH THE IMAGE that I posted! So I reviewed my math, and found an error in the formulae I used to convert polar to rectilinear coordinates. The URL listed above now has a corrected distance table! SORRY! As a (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Best way to make parts images?

I would use l3p and povray, but since l3p only runs on wintel, you have to do that part on a wintel box. Here's how I would do it: 1. Make a batch file to create a dat file for each part. 2. make a batch file to run l3p on each of those dat files 3. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.cad)

Lego (DK) Animals and Figures Books (semi-review)

I purchased the Lego Animals and Lego Figures books tonight at the Media Play in Ogden. Both books cost less than $10 total with tax. Both books look great but are certainly geared to a younger crowd. My first impression of the two books is that the (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ut)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) Oh, I know you do, now. But I don't think Todd does (or maybe I'm not reading him right) and I think he's got a fair chance of changing your mind. (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lego Ronald McDonald

Congrats. Guess I should have entered! You can see the Lowell one when you go through drive through, it's just sitting in the office. I didn't bother because who needs a glued up commercial icon? (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr, lugnet.promo)

  Re: Transporting large setups.

PNLTC, I think, tears down and builds anew for each show (but they're on tables, except for a module or two) GMLTC has a custom trailer that takes custom racks mounted on large casters. The modules ride on custom lipped tables with folding legs and (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Best way to make parts images?

What's the "best"[1] automated or semi-automated way to render a large number of parts images into GIFs? (It's OK if there are multiple steps or if a final pass has to convert the results from PNG or BMP to GIF.) What I would like to do for the (...)   Modified 8880's

First of all, hello and thank goodness I found this place!!! I never thought there was this many people out there who are in to Lego. With that out of the way, let me ask a question. I have seen a few modified 8880's on various websites, but I jst (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)
