I got a Friends demo CD in the mail

So, did anyone else get a demo copy of LEGO Friends? It's pretty cheesy, but the worst part is that the subject matter has *nothing* to do with LEGO. The only associations I can find are: 1. 'LEGO' in the title 2. The falling-bricks animated credit (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.games.lego.friends)

Number of motor units on one loop

A short while back there was a thread about the number of motor units that would run well on one loop. I've done some playing, and here is what I found: Using up to four motor units increases pulling power with only a small decrease in speed. Five (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Looks like it. Oh well, I bought a few but was holding off till Friday to order more. I snoozed, so I lost. Kinda funny since they have "HUGE SAVINGS ALL WEEK" on their main page... (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: PentWing Fighter

(...) He's done it again! I can't really add any more by way of suggestions except to echo the request for color. I think dark green (a 'forest' green - not color 2) would rock with red stripes.   RE: Scout vs. RIS 1.5

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but by the time you add an IR tower to the price of a Scout, you can pretty much buy an RCX. Now, for those of us with RCXs, the choice is a bit trickier since we could either buy a second RIS or a Scout to (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Selflearning Scout robot

I never tried. I have two examples of neural nets on my website, but they're both PC based and rely on constant communications with the Cybermaster. So far I haven't been able to get legOS running on a W95 system, so I'm kinda waiting for someone to (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

track curves on baseplates (was: Re: More Questions from Another Train Newbie)

(...) As long as the track is elevated at least one plate, it's easy to put the curves on the baseplates. Just use some 1-stud plates (1x1 or 1x2) and some tiles in places the studs don't line up. As it pertains to this discussion, if the place (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

I accidentally left the cockpit in color 16, so if you run Ldlite with the -cN option, where N is a color code, ie, 0-15, or choose a Main Color in LDAO, you can add some color :) Let me know what color you think would look good, (...)
