Re: OOPS! FORGOT THE ADDRESS! :-)

(...) Hi Jonas! Thanks for looking at my page. That line that I used worked great for the planes. All I wanted was something that was going to be hard to see when someone walked in the room and make it look like the planes were actually flying. As (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: 4558 - wishful thinking?

(...) <snip> (...) For my part, doors - yes - I'd love more of them. Windows - not really. Most of the trains I'm familiar with in real life have windows that are very elongated - a lot longer than they are high. From my point of view Lego train (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: DFW, It's time to speak up!

(...) my best friend works for Dell in Austin.. from what i've seen of the city it's easily more beautiful than big D, but Dallas feels more "grown up" since there isn't such a large percentage of college kids making up the population.. both places (...)   Re: TRU venting (was Re: Prices of New Star Wars LEGO)

(...) Which goes directly to my point, the numbers in an online inventory system (for anything smaller than autos or rocket ships) should always be viewed with some expectation of being off a little.   Re: Thinking of getting new Train

(...) You may want to call Shop at Home and get 3225 Classic Train before they sell out. It's about the best of the recent trains. Also look for 4565 in the stores (or get it from S@H). 4561 the newest train is ok, but I would hold out for a sale (I (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: NGLTC at GATS

(...) Hm, has anyone ever asked Shop at Home if they would send a carton of catalogs to you to distribute at shows? It would be neat if you could even specify getting one of the catalogs with trains on the cover. (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

(25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.at)

(...) Of course glass is hard to come by, though at least right now you can get two panes of plain glass in the doors and windows parts pack. Of course until S@H runs out of 3225 there is a decent source of good train parts including 6 windows with (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Notes on WinNT and legOS 0.2.2

No, I don't have it working yet. However, I've made progress, and I thought my experience might be helpful to others who are more savvy with the GNU tools than I am. - I did get everything to compile. As Luis suggested, the -nostdinc flag takes care (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Got my Battle Droid!!

This is actually all I wonder about English Language. If you can read and write it as "teknik" (this is the word both written and read in Turkish, which means technical) why you use those unnecessary letters such as in word "technic"? It's really (...)   Re: IR tower question

Robert, I hope an electronics person tells me I'm wrong, because this is where I'm stuck too. The serial port sets 2400 baud. But my understanding is that we have to get the Palm to generate a 38kHz signal. That is, pulse the IR led on/off at 38kHz. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  FS: 3x7851 4.5/12V Curved Rails

Hi. I have three used 7851 4.5V/12V curved rails (each pack makes a half-circle) which didn't go in my auction, so I"m offering them for straight sale before trying Ebay. They're in very good used condition, no documentation/packaging. I'll sell (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Is 6097 Night Lords Castle worth it

I was just at Kay Bee. Saw they had 2 6097 left. Has 597 something pieces. They had it on clearance for 40 bucks. I have NO castle sets except a few Ninja sets and the original Seige Tower and Yellow Castle. I do not mix up my pieces either, so I (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Line Following by Humans versus Bots

  compiling legOS

Hi all, I think we have finally gotten a cross compiler built for Solaris. I am still not 100% sure. I will not say that we have until I have seen a robot driving around the table which has a program written in legOS and downloaded in it. However at (...)
