  Built-in IR

The problem with programming the built-in IR in the Palm is that one needs to access and control the hardware directly. You can't use the normal programming interfaces for controlling the IR. This requires an in-depth knowledge of IR protocol and (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

Shopping - Zany brainy on 7 has several 8480 Space Shuttles

In case anyone is interested. I think that they are at full price. I had not seen any of these in a store (other than S@H and DYA, of course) in quite a while. Will (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.va.arl, lugnet.loc.us.dc)

Re: Use PC's IR port instead of IR tower?

The basic difference between PCs/PalmPilots/WinCE IR ports and the RCX is a different physical transmission/modulation protocol.   Help on upgrading MS 1.0 to 1.5

Could someone explain the upgrade process? Where I am, none of the retailers have Mindstorms 1.5 in it (which is fine with me, since all the advice here is that you're better off buying 1.0 and then upgrading to 1.5). However, at all the places I (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: What the...?

(...) Looking at the pics, I kinda doubt it. The T-Rex doesn't have any spinal ridges like on the Dragon tail. It might not have a moveable tail, either. Personally, I don't care.
