  Re: Mindstorms and Bungee Jumping

(...) I see. I was wondering why it took 3 RCXs, 9 motors, and 5 sensors to perform bungee jumping. Thanks, Hao-yang Wang (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  My thought on castle 2000

The large castle looks ok but TL:G could have done much better IMHO. give us sets like 6073 knights castle, 6074 black falcons fortress, 6080 kings castle etc with large numbers of the straight castle walls. Even given the set the straight castle (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Freight Terminal

Nice. Captures the modern warehouse look nicely. Too many clear garage doors though, IMHO. (you should send them to me) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Check out that cool

Re: My Analysis of the 2000 Sets

(...) Thanks Erin! That plane looks, simply put, INCREDIBLE! While LEGO still has a long way to go, I say 2000 is the best year they've had since 1996. The Soccer game itself is not great, but I love those buses! And the Adventurers are great! They (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Stallman mentions Lego in newspaper article

(...) True. It's my belief: "Those who can, do." "Those who can't, teach." "Those who can't teach become journalists." Actually, I don't believe that part about teaching. I know many excellent teachers. I can't say the same of journalists or (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general)

  Re: Another 2000 Rant

  Cheshire shopping report

Just a couple of things I noticed recently: Warrington TRU has some RBRs (6289). They were on the top shelf, without prices, but IIRC they were about GBP50 last time I bought one.   My thoughts on the new Castle line

General Comments (mostly negative): 1. The Maiden appears to come only in the largest set (6091) - arghh! 2. Visored helmets are back!! 3. Why did they do the tower peaks in blue again - I'd kill for those in red!! 4. Stained glass decal - there is (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)
