Re: Egyptian Temple - A new undertaking

(...) Yeah, I was playing around a bit again last night, and actually, I was finding that 1x slopes and 2x slopes are actually what I might need more of... I also tried making the statues in multicolor grey/tan, but that looked kind of silly against (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

I'd agree here... black & dark grey would work well - there's a decent selection of black slopes that are fairly easily gotten ahold of, and small dk- grey plates are getting more common in the sets - enough (...)   Re: I'm sorting by color now!

(...) I use both methods, shameless mixing and matching. :) My more specialized pieces are sorted function-first. I find it much easier when looking for a red 1x4 arch to search through a (relatively) small drawer of arches, than to sea the (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Letter to the LEGO President...

(...) I haven't studied the growth rates, so I can't confirm that hypothesis, but it's safe to say that it numbers well over three thousand. --Todd (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

I don't think I said anything except a brief note via email to about 5 or 6 people (at once) and said, TSL> ok guys, time to take this off-topic thread out of .general" TSL> TSL> --Todd I don't have any problem with movie lists being discussed (...) (...) to (...) Hey Dave, I read your post on this a couple of days ago and have been thinking on it ever since. The best idea I could come up with was to do the statues in black. I have seen a lot of Egyptian statues in black and even if paint was (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: I'm sorting by color now!

I have to say I am firmly on the sort by form side. It may be because I don't have as many pieces as many of you guys, but once mine are sorted into the kind of part they are, it is very easy for the eye to pick out the color I want. If all of mine (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: I'm sorting by color now!

Jeremy: You make some quite good points about sorting by colour, but you will not make me shift. I don't mind building the first iterations of a model in random colours, but I do like to know where I can find the piece I am missing. Play well, Jacob (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)
