  Re: Castle returns for 2000!

Is it just me... or does that Arctic Dude look like Kenny from South Park? (I loathe the show, but I've seen it enough to recognize him) Chris <>< (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Castle returns for 2000!

(...) Wow! After looking at the full size image, I'm blown away as well... "She's a little busty, wouldn't you say? She look's like my kind of girl!" I don't even collect the Castle theme. :-) <ICS> (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: idiot's guide to programming the rcx

(...) The almost universal answer to the question "what is the best/easiest alternative programming language for the RCX" is three little letters: "NQC." If you are at all comfortable with programming in a "scripted" language like BASIC, then you (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Castle 2000 Eye-candy

(...) The odd secret door, trap door, or even Willa the Witch isn't a bad thing. The bad thing is when these elements, which should *only* be novelties, become the bread and butter of the theme. I think most of us would agree that such trends mean (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle returns for 2000!

  Re: walker that turns?

It's fairly simple with a tripod gait. First, get it working walking forward ... watch how it walks until you understand what is happening. Then reverse the action to get your 'bot to walk backwards. Watch it for awhile more. Now to turn left have (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  possibilities - 4558, 4559, 2150 (2), etc

Just wondering what this would go for. Not 100% sure I want to sell, am 100% sure I don't want to bother with an auction. Call me crazy, call me not looking forward to moving an entire room full of Lego sets and bricks. 4558 - new, sealed in box. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: walker that turns?

(...) <De-lurk> What about making the legs on one side take shorter steps? Seems like the Imperial Walkers were pretty clumsy beasts, and a slow-plodding turn like this would be appropriate. My $0.02... - Christian <Lurk> (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Our Trip to the LEGO Store...

(...) I would like to say, for the record, that we didn't actually get lost. We just came back a different way then we had gone. And the stop at Wal-mart to look at a map was just to make sure we were going the right way (which we were). (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Top Ten Toys on A&E

<stuff deleted> (...) I'm glad you mentioned this Alan. I missed the program, but will catch a rerun. A&E has taken both barrels from dozens of LEGO fans posting their disbelief that LEGO was not in the Top Ten; even #1 in many people's opinion. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Millennium City - Princess Wharf

I've changed the pic on the rather spartan looking Millennium City webpage. This time it's a pic of an activity that's pretty common on Princess Wharf - Millennium Harbour. Design Notes: Millennium Harbour is to the west of City Central. Access is (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)
