Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

(...) Those look suspiciously like TLG numbers. I'm definitely going on the assumption that the four-digit number is the actual set number. Steve (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

  Re: McDonalds Info

[x-posted and f-upped to lugnet.promo] (...) I wouldn't describe these sets as "wretched". They are as good as any other 18-piece set LEGO has released lately. It's true they aren't very attractive for AFOL builders, but they are head-and-shoulders (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

* Troy Cefaratti (mnementh@sbase1.com) [991027 05:55]: (...) I would suggest a different set: 5542 Because of *drool* all those *slobber* train doors *dribble* and windows.... It's not bad in other respects either. And the seats aren't technic (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

(...) That's pretty much my POV. And where I'm going in about 5 minutes. (...) Nope. Just a Freestyle propeller. (...) Care to elaborate? The only pieces I could have too many of would be: - the yellow 2x3 printed slope (could be altered) - the gray (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

  Re: Busy Bee Castle News

(...) Oh, don't get me wrong. For the vast majority of people, this IS a good deal. But I own 3 6090's already, and I think the most I paid for one was about $80. I paid around $25-30 for one and less than $60 for the other. So the prospect of (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Cramped city with a train and a monorail running through it soon. Need some help on how to do this.

I now have 8 pics and I still have 3 more to scan. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: McDonalds Info

(...) That's interesting -- on the instruction sheet, there isn't much (if any visible difference between the blue in set #8, and the purple/blue in set #5. Looking at the 1+4+5+6+7+8 model, there is some apparent color difference between the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Train parts trade wanted

I just received a lot of miscellaneous train and monorail stuff from eBay. The nice thing is a bunch of Metroliner doors and windows. The bad part is there are some mismatched pieces. There are two extra Metroliner 1x4x5 train doors with hinges on (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: My new Engine

I sometimes use the webspace as a fileserver/junk box, I do have a real page in the works but it is not complete and I only get an hour or so a week to work on it. The town pics you saw were of the current setup I have. It's 2x4 baseplates large. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)
