  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) I don't think I would say that. The Gungan Sub is terribly misconfigured as to the version in the Movie which had all 3 characters in one compartment with 2 "Cargo compartments" on either side. I personally think that this model was the 2nd (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

Klaus is a class II Corporal in the maintenance unit for the substation, Hephaestus' Forge. This morning his duties call him to a lower tunnel where water pipes keep bursting (affecting pressure for lower excavation areas). He parks his vehicle in (...)   4x2ReVu: 7140 X-wing Fighter

Two wide-eyed youth look at the spacecraft before them in awe. The pilot, in civilian clothes, is busy speaking with a small crowd about the importance of joining the academy so he pays no particular attention to the two young ones. "So why (...)   Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) Yes, and the cockpit is one part, not three distinct ones. Good for parts, poor representation of what it was in the movie. :( (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New starwars sets.

Well, I for one am glad they are continuing the Star Wars line, even if the MF is out of scale and so on. If it has a large assortment of bricks and so on, as the other Classic sets and EP1 sets do, I will be very happy indeed. Now, here's hoping to (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) From what I can tell, the Gungan Sub is *WAY* bigger than it "should" be. eric (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) I'd have to agree... also, bear in mind that a Falcon the size of an X-Wing is still a lot bigger than the X-Wing just in terms of pieces, etc., since it's a lot more bulky, and doesn't have real 'wings' or a thin body... But usually, the toy (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Lego Article (Re: I'm famous (or infamous))

(...) WSJ recently (last december) ran an article on Mindstorms, titled "Lego's Robot Set for Kids Grabs Crowds of Grown-Ups". Front page of the second section. I doubt they're likely to run a similar article again soon, unless something really (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) That would have been an unforgivable error were it not for the fact I like Lego more than Star Wars. Whoops. Maybe I should go back to lurking here and dreaming of grey bricks.... (...) same here :: paul (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Building a moon-display for your space models

  Lego for real research

I was interested to note the sad comments about Lego being just a toy! I am also a professional engineer, of 25 years standing, who enjoys recreational Lego. RIS is one of the more significant steps toward accessible home robotics in recent years. I (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Tower Building

Tony, I am working on a web page for the tower project. It will be online by this weekend. I have decided to also expand into a virtual tower building venture a bit like Datsville. Three different size of sections would simplify the project, and (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: New Star Wars Stuff

(...) I wouldn't say that. If TLG was to produce the Millenium Falcon in it's proper size, it would be a far too large set to sell. (Ok, so I know that a lot of people around here would buy it, but for most kids it would be too large.) LEGO usually (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Theme/subtheme lifespans (Re: Favorite Adventurers vehicles)

(...) Good point, Steve. I hadn't thought of the lifespans corresponding to the sub-themes rather than the more encompassing theme. Thanks for the clarification. ..joseph g (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.general)
