  Any deals around town?

There haven't been any new messages for a couple of weeks here, so I thought I'd try to get things rolling again. :-) Has anyone seen any good deals around town? I haven't looked for a month or two myself. (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: The Best Basic Sets (725/730)

(...) Asher, I couldn't agree with you more on these two sets. They are two of my favorite town sets. The 730 had (until the recent introduction of the black slopes service pack) the only extensive assortment of black slopes that LEGO ever made. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.basic)

(...) <snip most of article> (...) So, um, is it just me who's wondering where Lego gets off telling us we aren't a market force? James (URL) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

  Re: Insurance

The problem with doing that is that insurance companies normally have a limit on items/collections not separately identified on the policy document, on mine it is $1000. So if you have a collection worth $25,000 this is a dangerous way to insure. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Inverse grey corner slope availability

(...) Hmm... I've got them in blue-- I THINK they came from the Cosmic Fleet Voyager, but I'm not 100% sure... think they're from the very front, just under the nose... Anyone found 'em in brown, orange, teal, pink, or green? DaveE (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Does anyone accually like 4561?

(...) 'Useless' is in reference to building other stuff out of them. I'd *really* like to see someone build something with the raft which isn't a raft. Steve (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Insurance

If ever there was a reason for having a price list for LEGO values, then insurance purposes would be it. Unfortunately, 95 percent of the time that price list would be used as a base price for LEGO auctions and sales. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
