Re: Does anyone else think outback was modeled on the australian bush?

Jonathan Wilson: (...) ^^^^^ I am not a native English speaker, but I suspect that you want to write "maybe" and not "mabie". (...) I typically use a 2x3 brick for the body, two 1x2 bricks for the legs, and two 2x2 plates with a 1x2 plate on top for (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: What would you think of a crusader torso being available?

(...) One thing I've pondered is hooking up my old color inkjet printer, fiddling up some new torsos, and printing them out on something clear and adhesive. I have no idea how well this would work, though. Anyone tried something similar? (Note to (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Comprehensive meta-command list

Gary Williams: (...) Yes, but I don't think they are well known anyway: 0 TITLE <description> is an alternative to just using the first line in a file for the description of the file. 0 NOFILE terminates a model in a MPD file (so does another FILE (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Meijer Sale

Meijer is having a 20% off Star Wars LEGO sale at (what appears) all the Michigan stores. Charles PS - While were at it, could someone come relieve my store (Brighton) of some Purple Buckets?   An offer to purchase Blue Hopper sets #4536

Greetings, Unfortunately, I missed out on the buying frenzy at Busy Bee, so I'm taking a stab at an offer to those who bought large quantities of the Blue Hopper sets. I would like to buy five copies at $50.00 US per set. I'll of course pay (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Hidden surface removal, and vertex order in part/primitive DAT files

(...) Instead of asking the user, the program could first try to cast rays and then only if there are any faces left it asks the user. I've started writing my own converter and it worked correctly with the 'standard' bricks but had a few problems (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Evolutionary programming to build LEGO bridge

Jeremy: (...) Since they just use evolutionary programming to _design_ constructions, I doubt that they would ever need Mindstorms. Their claims about the lightness of the table[1] is most dubious. (...) I received an e-mail from "Mike Kory" <kory@advancenet.net> that says: ---...--- Howdy, I downloaded Mario's big program successfully 3 times in a row on my Win98 machine using the command line interface. (...) of 4559 for parts too...) Th motor frame may come in handy for something, and the 1*3*4 windows (for lack of a better term) are quite handy for making coach bottoms (see my web page for a coach made using them) The cars are jr'ized, and I (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

Some questions about the shell promos...

1.What decorated parts do they include? (i.e. not stickers) 2.What parts are used for the roof of the pumps? (the white parts) 3.What parts are used for the car wash? (are they the same parts as in e.g. metro park and service tower?) 4.What other (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.promo)

  Does anyone accually like 4561?

I think it is garbage. At least 4559 was remotely usefull for parts but 4561 stinks. I think that 1999 is the first year where trains have been fully junorised -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Any minifigs w/ black legs / gray waist?

(...) I don't know of a set that has them, but I have made my own. The legs detach from the waist without much effort, just bend it slightly to the inside and pull gently. They pop right out. (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Datsville tracked excavator/bulldozer  [DAT]

Here's a small and simple tracked excavator/bulldozer for Datsville. It's basic dimensions are 6x10 studs. Perhaps it can go on the low loader?
