At least you put your money where your mouth is regarding the item description. You clearly state the orginal price of the set and do not make it out to be anything it is not. I found an ultrasonic radar device that can sense objects up to 10 meters away. It runs off 12VDC, but if it was used as a motion detector, then that wouldn't be a problem. I shouldn't be that hard to design an interface to the RCX though. It is (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You might want to use a sliding mechanism on the pen to eliminate the arc that it draws. It will skew the measurement (no longer quite linear scale) but not so badly that it will be useless. Straightening the lines out will help make the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
