I found an ultrasonic radar device that can sense objects up to 10
meters away. It runs off 12VDC, but if it was used as a motion detector,
then that wouldn't be a problem. I shouldn't be that hard to design an
interface to the RCX though. It is only an idea, I haven't tested it.
Look at the pic at www.amazing1.com/simplex.htm under Ultrasonic
Radar. It would be neat to see this done. The price is also a bit high,
but oh well....
