Re: Are any other Photobot II pictures availalbe? Suctionbot?

(...) I'd also be interested in any info anyone can dig up on the suction-bot. I have the walking mechanism down, it's the suction action that's causing me problems. Pneumatics could work, but I've having problems with implementation. peace ---T (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: conical gear

(...) -free rotation/shift on an axle -toothed-1/2-bush-style teeth (what could one do with those?) -4 slim teeth for a locking tube among its features, but nothing cone-shaped, called "conical"? thanks. -gbr BTW: as the new differential housing (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Non-standard track connections

(...) John didn't say which question he was answering. As it turns out, this trick works BOTH to electrically insulate track sections AND to let them be mechanically separated. If you only want electrical insulation your options depend on your (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: WalMart prices...

(...) Again this morning I had to go into WM for something. So I found the Toy dept lady and asked a few questions. It seems that there are several factors involved: First, she can only mark something down a minimal percentage on the first go-round (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LEGO Stereogram (see it in 3D!)

(...) If you can see Chris's and not Todd's, it's probably because Todd's are more widely separated than Chris's (on my monitor, about 3 1/2" vs. 1 7/8"). Human eyes are typically separated about 2 1/2", and this is an effective upper bound on (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: FAQqage: How to get zero perspective from L3P?

Sproaticus: (...) There is a camera type for this. It should be enough to add "orthographic" at the beginning of the camera definition[1]. It could be fun, if the DAT Explorer switched to cylindrical projection so we could get to look all the way (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.faq)

  Re: Non-standard track connections

(...) 9volt trains will jump that gap with no problems at all. You can kind of see it in this picture, between the grey bascule bridge and the adjoining truss bridge: (URL) bascule section drops down 1 stud apart from the 'fixed' section, it comes (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: WalMart prices...

(...) The stores near me must pick and choose which clearance prices to use. One store has 5988 Pharoh's Forbidden Ruins at 50% clearance, but has 8269 Cyber Stinger at full price, while the other nearby Wal-Mart has 8269 at 50% off and 5988 at full (...)   Non-standard track connections
