Re: truck wheels: 5563 vs 5571

(...) Who said the 5571 isn't? Well, maybe not "dumb" but certainly annoying. One of the most realistic (looking) retail sets TLG has ever produced, other than the stupid wheels. Never have gone back to retro-fit mine, though I did pick up extra (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Don Quixote puts away his lance (was Re: McDonalds set

(...) I honestly don't know, I just read it again and I wasn't sure. But under my rather strict morality, anything that I do with intent to evade a clear prohibition that I have agreed to abide by(1), is not OK, no matter if it's explicitly (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: LEGO Stereogram (see it in 3D!)

(...) I think anyone can do it by simply moving the camera a couple inches to the right or left... how far you move it affects how far away the objects pictured appear. This makes it fairly easy to do for still life photos, (like lego set-ups) but (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: 2000 LEGO Star Wars and more!

(...) Leave it to me to get nitpicked after nitpicking others :) Actually, I went to the www.starwars.com to get the length, since I didn't know it offhand, so I guess 27 is the 'official' length? (not that it means too much in practice :) ) I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Stereogram (see it in 3D!)

(...) Does your camera have a special feature that enables you to take stereo pics or is it a technique anyone can try? If so, how did you set up the shot? (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 5VDC Voltage Regulation

This indeed does work fine, with he proper resistor. :) Voltage across the coil is now 4.74VDC. Thanks to all for the input - when I get a working model I'll put it on my web site. -Wes (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Sugar cookies with LEGO sets at Wal*Mart (was: Cookies ?)

(...) No dice. Nor sugar cookies, nor promotional Lego. Not that this necessarily means anything. Oliver, do you think you could give us a bit more detail? (brand name, appearance, etc) James (URL) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.promo)

Re: 2000 LEGO Star Wars and more!

(...) That's a bit short for the MF. I believe the 'official' length is 30 meters, and independent analysis indicates that 36 would be a more fitting minimum length. Steve just nitpicking the day away... (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: [Datsville] Renovated House with Porch, Includes a Yard

(...) Feel free to make a house that will fit behind or next(garage side) to it. After I finish my current roster of items (1), I plan on making some houses that'll fit near it (2). (...) Thanks! :) It took me a while to get this to my satisfaction. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
