  '91 Caprice  [DAT]

A first shot at our '91 Caprice. The proportions aren't perfect; the roof is too wide, but making the windows+roof 1 stud narrower disturbs the side lines; the front and rear overhangs need to be about 1/2 stud longer, which might also accomodate (...)   Re: FYI small 12v Train Accessory Elements auction

(...) I thought you were going to apologize for spamming the .trains group with auction noise. (Reminder: Auction announcements and updates (as well as indiscreet URLs) belong in .market.auction.) --Todd (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Who here in Legoland has a Cable modem?

(...) Ah. I've got a Gateway-branded Mitsubishi 21" "vivitron" at work - really nice. I have an Optiquest v95 at home - also pretty good. I've been giving up some real estate in favor of going easy on my eyes, though - I only run them both at (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  6057 Sail Scan

If anyone is interested, I have a 600dpi scan of the sail for the Sea Serpent. The file is 2.49MB JPG, but shows all details including the cloth texture. I have printed it on dull photo paper, and it looks pretty good. If anyone has access to a (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Who here in Legoland has a Cable modem?

(...) It's a two-year-old Dell model from a previous PC. The only thing I don't like about it is the stupid interface for adjusting its settings (there's three buttons and one dial to do everything--it's incredibly cumbersome). As soon as good 22" (...)   Re: a couple of new-bot questions from a generally quiet lurker

(...) I came up with this idea (I don't know if I were the first to do it, though). It worked really great with almost no loss, but there was one problem. The differential and the gearing introduces some backlash, especially if you use those eight (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Themed groups are for discussions, not ads (was: 34 new newsgroups!)

(...) It's been pointed out that a few initial FS and WTB posts are beginning to show up in the new themed groups, for example: (2 URLs) these types of posts are indeed annoying, it should be noted that new groups often: a) attract a few more people (...)   Re: LOOK, BUYING SELLING TRADING

(...) John, Welcome! But note: this new Pirates newsgroup is really for discussing the Pirates product line, and not really for classified ads. Suggest posting to .market.buy-sell-trade instead, and also not shouting in all uppercase letters. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  12v trains & track / 4.5v track

(...) Not a bad card, but what monitor are you using? (...) Yeah, amazing how Win2k does things Win98 won't. I love it on my laptop - rock solid also. (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Tasks vs. program slots
