I had to get up at 0445 to enable an 0600 check-in and 0700 flight from Prestwick to Stansted. Chris Dee had offered a lift from there to Jon's, and was waiting at the airport on my arrival. We arrived at Jon's at 0935. What followed was 14 hours (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I used to go to Lehigh U. I liked it out there, the cable service was always very good. 35/Mo. is cheap. I pay 40/mo for Austin TW RR. I'm about to drop it because the speed has dropped a lot, and their tech support ppl are a** holes. If in the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

The reason Cable Modems have taken so long to be launched in the UK is that a standard had to finalised after the incompatibility problems that have plagued North America.
