Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

(...) Do you want to connect the PIC to the IR tower to receive signals from the Lego remote control, or do you want to build your own IR receiver, and attach the PIC to that? The encoding of the IR is pretty simple. The IR tower contains a circuit (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  RE: Light sensor values

One the raw note, my CdS cell (which measures about 20K ohms in the near dark, and about 500 ohms pointed at the florescent light) returns raw values between 1000 (pointed into a dark blue coffee cup) to 48 (pointed directly at the light with a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Old Bricks... Any interest??

I have a large quantity of OLD lego bricks. Mostly white and red, some blue. They are from the early '70's or so, and have the old Lego logo on the studs. Any interest? Any value? Eric (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Light sensor values

BTW, using raw value reading gives a lot more accurate result With my scanner, the values on a black and white picture are 685 to 795. The ambient lightning seems (hopefully) to not react that much with the light sensor readings... Mark Ferris a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Light sensor values

When looking at the raw values on the rcx display, ambient light reads about 528, pointed at the fluorescent 510, pointed at the scouts led 390. The sensor is more sensitive toward the IR end of the spectrum. HTH, Jeff Jeffrey.hazen@northmill.net (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  I'll host the Code Repository!

I wouldn't mind hosting a NQC lego code repository on Maktos.com. I have plenty of space, so you could send me pictures, code, articles, news, whatever you want. I'll put it all up in its own area.
