When looking at the raw values on the rcx display, ambient light reads about
528, pointed at the fluorescent 510,  pointed at the scouts led 390.  The sensor
is more sensitive toward the IR end of the spectrum.

Subject: Light sensor values

I'm wondering what are reasonable values coming out of the light
sensor.  I've got an input setup as a light sensor so I'm getting
percentage values out of it, and using the large "track" paper that
came with the kit, when positioned over the white it reads 60.  When
over black it reads 40.  Not a huge change and I would have expected a
larger swing.

What range of values are other people seeing out of the light sensor?
